Hsinchu’s massage economy runs on engineers’ shoulders; Kaohsiung’s runs on night-market legs. Two hours of stalls, and someone owes your feet an apology.
Three channels
Foot wellness leads: the Zuoying list opens with Zuojiao Youjiao on Ziyou 2nd Road — eleven thousand reviews, king of the city, with the Xinxing branch close behind. NT$400-600 settles the feet. Full-body pressure/oil takes NT$600-1,200 for the desk-job spine. Vietnamese head spa is the local phenomenon — Love spa on Qixian 2nd Road, eight thousand reviews, reboots the head from NT$300.
The advanced channel
Chill SPA sweat rooms on Fumin Road (thirty-four hundred reviews) trade an evening for a full Korean-style sweat and rest cycle; fine SPA starts at NT$1,500 and turns massage into ceremony.
The three checks
Posted prices, proper signage, clear phone booking — miss one, walk on. Timing: weekday afternoons and after ten run empty; the post-market rush around eleven jams the counters, so call ahead, then walk over — the local cheat code.
Route it after Ruifeng or Liuhe and the night closes properly. District lists live under Zuoying and Xinxing.
